2022 Safety Poster Contest has begun!

It’s time for Montgomery Transport’s annual safety poster contest! Students from kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to use their creativity and talent to promote safe driving and operations every day. This is such a fun time for all of us to see what our children come up with to encourage safety!


Since safety is a centerpiece of all we do at Montgomery Transport, the Safety Poster Contest is another way we keep awareness of safe driving habits top of mind.


A MESSAGE FROM THE KIDS

Our Safety Poster Contest not only increases safety awareness among our truck drivers and staff, it also brings that message home to children who will one day be part of the motoring public – maybe even a truck driver!


Students grades K-12 are invited to use their creativity and talent to illustrate the importance of safe driving behaviors on our nation’s streets and highways, while also showing how much our drivers are loved and supported by their families back home. Posters can be created using pens, pencils, markers, colored pencils, paint, crayons, glitter – whatever gets their imaginations fired up.


ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION FROM THE KIDS IN YOUR LIFE

The contest is open to all children and stepchildren of Montgomery Transportation Group employees and drivers, grades K-12 (ages 5-18). Employees without children are also allowed to choose a child who plays a significant role in their life to participate on their behalf for those who wish to do so (for example godchildren, niece, nephew, cousin, etc.). Participants will be grouped into three age groups based on their grade for the 2021-2022 school year, with first, second, and third place winners chosen from each group.


SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY

After your child has created their poster:

  1. Take a photograph of the child holding their entry as well as a video of them explaining their poster, why trucking safety is important, and why people should vote for their poster.
  2. Post the photo and video on Facebook and tag @MontgomeryTransportLLC.
  3. Complete the entry form and submit via email to kstephens@montgomeryllc.com.
  4. Mail us your child’s poster entry with all your information included to 2563 Commerce Circle, Birmingham, AL 35217. Entries must be in by June 22, 2022.

GET THE VOTES IN

The photo you post of your child’s entry will be added to an album on the Montgomery Transport Facebook Page for voting. This year, winners will be chosen by the people to make it more fun and add transparency, plus everyone loves seeing the smiling faces of our MT Kids! Our social media audience will determine who takes home the prizes based on the number of “likes” each Safety Poster receives. Voting ends on June 27 and the winners will be announced by July 1.


Artwork of first place winners in each category will be framed and displayed in our home office.
